FINALLY!
I've finally reached approximately 220 people who have checked this blog out. It was stuck at 210 for the longest time - I should know, I've checked out my profile more than anyone else. I can safely assume that only about 50 legitimate people have checked out my profile, the rest were me checking to see how many people were checking me out. It's pathetic, I know. But hey, 50 people checked out my profile - that's amazing! And on top of that, I have 12 friends on Facebook! I really don't know if I'm ready for all this popularity.

Questions And Curiosities
~ Does anyone else notice their birthdates on a digital clock from time to time?, example: 10:14? (yes, I accept personal checks).
~ Why do some dinners always smell better than they taste? It's a tease I tell you!
~ Why do some dinners smell good while cooking, taste good while eating, and then a few hours after, that same aroma turns my stomach and I get all green in the face?
~ Have you ever wondered if the colors I'm seeing are the same colors your seeing? Is your green my green? What if we're seeing totally different colors for the same things? This freaks me out.
~ Why is the skunk scent so appealing to me?
~ If I'm so tomboyish, why am I so weak and feeble? I must be a prettyboy.
~ Why is it that the best mother's day gift for me would be a day where I forgot I was a mother?
~ Are the angels horrified at me? I have a strange sense that they are every time I sit on the toilet.
~ If there is intelligent life on other planets, did Jesus have to die for them too? It's because of this very reason I can't believe in aliens. Except, when I was a kid, I actually thought I was an alien.
~ why am I so drawn to sci fi movies?
~ perhaps I am an alien, that would explain my cone shaped head.
~ Do you think God was proud or irritated that we took some of the pain out of childbirth with the introduction of epidurals? It was His curse afterall.
~ Do you think the first death in Eden, the first death ever, happened when God killed an animal to use it's fur for clothing to cover Adam and Eve's nakedness? Wouldn't that be an interesting mirror of the redemption story? I read this in a fictitious book called EVE, a very good book if you can get past a few things.
Well, I've got a load of laundry that needs to be folded - and I can't keep putting it through the dryer to get the wrinkles out. So enough of my dilly dallying around.

A Blast From The Past
I'll show you this picture as long as you promise not to laugh. The year was 1993, Fun Day, at the end of our 8th grade year. Lisa's the girl doing the split, I'm the pissed off looking one on the right, middle row (Lisa takes up the 1st row), Julie's beside me and Tammy's at the other end. Michelle, also sporting the pissed off look, is the beautiful girl at the top left, next is Miranda, (always cheerful), and Wendy, (my smart, environementally friendly recycling friend), then Trina, also pissed (who is now my beautiful neighbor across the street - hi Trina!), and lastly our sweet friend Trellice on the top right. What spurred me on to dig around and uncover this photo from 16 years ago? Besides needing to find a picture of Michelle from when we were kids, I've recently came into contact with my old friends. Julie and Cassie (we didn't meet Cassie till 9th grade, sadly), were so thoughtful and kind in coming to Michelle's funeral. I hadn't seen them for 10 years probably. Last week we had lunch together at Ruby Tuesday's (see below photo). It was such a fun and wonderfully sweet time catching up on the last 10 years! They, along with my friend Trina, were the ones who encouraged me to follow up on my facebook status. And since then, I've been connected with a couple other old friends from school. And, just as with the blog world 8 months ago, I've entered into a whole new other world again - the Facebook World. I don't know how involved I'll become with it yet, but it has been nice being able to connect with my old friends. And guess what? I still like them! They are still my wonderfully funny, sweet, and intelligent friends! I am so excited to be reintroduced to them! My dream - to recreate the picture from our Fun Day, blue shirts and all. So far I have connections with all but 2 girls, and unfortunately Michelle's presence will be deeply missed. The only down side to all these reunions I've been making lately - Michelle's absence is even more obvious as the shock of the accident is just starting to subside. I am missing my friend of 17 years.
But more on that later. For now, lets just enjoy and make fun of the picture from 1993. That was probably one of the heaviest times for me, weight wise! I gained so many pounds from 7th to 8th grade because all I did was read. I came home from school and read from afternoon till the early morning hours. My brother Dan would walk by my room and look in. He'd get so mad at me for staying in my room reading all the time. Then I went to the doctor and he told me I was probably anemic. He told me to go outside and exercise. Yes friends, exercise! My dad had open heart surgery and we started to eat healthy. I started to play tennis and park basketball. In 9th grade I became somewhat anorexic until my senior year or a bit later. Then nursing school came along and the stress of that just melted the pounds away (I had regained some pounds when my anorexic phase ended - my body decided to hord the calories just in case I malnurished myself again). Now the stress of trying to claw my way out of insanity is what keeps me flabilly thin. Yes, flabilly is a word. Even though I am thin, I still am somewhat flabby. And don't roll your eyes and tell me to shut up. I have a right to be flabby too.
So ends my post on The Blast From The Past. Is there anything you don't know about me by now?

Is Common Courtesy Becoming A Lost Social Grace?
Is common courtesy not so common anymore? And why not? Are people less intelligent and less concerned for their neighbor nowadays? Since Michelle's accident I have moments where life all of the sudden seems extremely precious and I just want to love everyone with every ounce of love that I have in my body - with exception to the Stump Woods bug life and supermoms and Christians that are fake. Perhaps I have been so cocooned within my little house that I have forgotten how crazy the general public can be. It's too scary - I just want to stay sheltered! I'm afraid that if God releases me into the workforce, I'll flip out on somebody! And what kind of love is that? Where's Jesus in that?

Success My Friends
Okay, if you haven't read the last 2 new posts, I give you permission to do so now - if you promise to come back to this one after your done with those.
Okay, now that you're caught up, please allow me a moment of celebration: SUCCESS!!! I'm such a genius - if only everyone else thought so too! I synchronized successfully my friends. I now am listening to my 77's Pray Naked cd. On my new, cool mp3 player. Oh, the sound. It's beautiful. And to think, now I don't have to haul my heavy space consuming cd case in my car. Oh. Wait. I guess I need a mp3 car adapter. A trip to Radio Shack is in order. So close. I was so close.

It's Going To Be A Long Night
Well, I'm stuck in the middle of another tech. problem. Maybe not a problem. But possibly.
My sweet hubby bought me a cool mp3 player on ebay a couple days ago. We got it this afternoon. And instead of reading up on it and investigating all the info., I decided just to get into the thick of things. Hopefully it's not a mistake! I have no idea how to download my music from my computer files (though hopefully that's what I'm doing at this moment while I'm writing my woes to you) to my new, cool looking mp3 player. It seems to be a very slow process. I must be doing something wrong. If only I hadn't sipped two glasses of wine, perhaps this would be easier. Do I have any techn. savvy friends out there? I think I need you. Maybe another glass of wine would help. I have the time apparently. I've been synchronizing at 2% now for five minutes - is that normal? And what does synchronizing mean? I assumed it meant I was downloading all my cd music files onto my new cool mp3 player. I'm not quite so sure now. I better leave you to figure this out.
